Avon Skin so Soft Insect repellent was what Parris Island DI's used to
recommend to keep sand fleas off. Think how tough that must be.
Last time I looked OFF maximum Insect repellent was a bit more effective than
Skin so Soft insect repellent.
Answer:
For mosquito/black fly repellent, take garlic and brewer's yeast
tablets.
I tried this one year (you take two of each every day) and it worked!
I am one of those people who, if there is a mosquito within a 5 mile
radius of me and there are 15 people around me - I will be the only
one that bug feasts on!
After about a week of taking it, I found that the nasty lil bugs just
didn't alight on me. They left me alone. Of course I still got a *few*
bites, but *nothing* like what I would have had without it.
I also fed it to my dogs and it seemed to work for them also.
This may be an alternative to using nasty plastic-eating pesticidy
type things.
Anything with a high percentage of DEET makes a good insect repellant.....
most have a DEET conc of around 20%......there is one brand in Aus. which
has 80% DEET.....they recommend to not use it on babies.....
