repairing mosquito netting

Question:
I just returned from a trip to discover that I have somehow introduced a few small holes into the mosquito netting panel of my SD convertible tent. Does anyone have recommendations for how to best prevent these holes from becoming bigger? I have considered melting the nylon and duct tape. The first option seems dicey; I may cause bigger problems. The second option seems messy. Is their a good commercial product for this purpose?

Answer:
Most little tiny holes in mosquito net can be easily repaired with a zig-zag sewing machine, preferably using a 3-step zip zag. You can reinforce if you want by putting a little piece of netting underneath where you are doing the repair. DO NOT melt it! You can get mosquito net from Outdoors Wilderness Fabrics www.owfinc.com
