Question:
I'm trying to reduce my exposure to DEET but find that mosquitoes always bite
me on the frontal hairline. If I sweat, then the DEET on the frontal hairline
runs right to my lips and eyes. Why do they bite there and how do you stop
them? They really got me this weekend while I was filtering water and couldn't
swat them as both hands were occupied.
Answer:
-What about one of those screen hats? Seen here...

-Headnet is a very good choice.
You also could wear a hat with DEET on it. It doesn't need to be on
your skin to be effective.
They go for the easy areas with lots of surface blood vessels.
-Stop trying to reduce your exposure to DEET.
Either that or wear a hat.
But then they'll get you on the hat line.
Remember, mosquitos kill millions of people every year.
DEET has never killed a single person as far as I know.
I don't think you could kill yourself with it if you tried ...
at least I've never heard of anyone committing suicide by it.
